Mexico authorities report multiple criminal arrests and Interpol notices

Mexican authorities have reported several significant criminal developments across various states. In Oaxaca, the State Attorney General's Office has issued Interpol red notices for Vilgaid López Guadalupe, the former mayor of San Martín Itunyoso, and Concepción Díaz Martínez. They are sought for their alleged involvement in the disappearance of 24-year-old Roxana López Martínez, who was last seen in the Mixteca region in February 2026. The investigation also targets Dagoberto López Díaz, the primary suspect and son of Concepción Díaz Martínez.

In Veracruz, the State Attorney General's Office achieved 105 legal proceedings in a single week involving various crimes, including attempted feminicide, homicide, and robbery. In Puebla, law enforcement arrested a woman in Lomas de Angelópolis for aggravated robbery following a setup via a dating app in Mexico City, and another individual for a homicide in a bakery in Nealtican.

Other notable incidents include the discovery of two deceased women in a Cuauhtémoc hotel, an arrest in Chiapas for two suspected feminicides, and a 30-year prison sentence handed to a man for the strangulation of a fellow inmate in a rehabilitation center. Additionally, in San Luis Potosí, a suspect was apprehended following the discovery of three bodies in Santa María del Río.
