In a coordinated effort between the Chihuahua and Oaxaca State Attorney General's Offices, authorities arrested G. L. T. in Ciudad Juárez for his alleged involvement in a 2021 aggravated feminicide in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec region; the suspect was transferred to Oaxaca for legal proceedings.

In Oaxaca, the State Prosecutor's Office has requested Interpol red notices for the former mayor of San Martín Itunyoso, Vilgaid López Guadalupe, and two others regarding the disappearance of agronomist Roxana López Martínez in the Mixteca region. Recent updates confirm that Interpol red notices have been issued for Vilgaid López Guadalupe and Concepción Díaz Martínez in connection with the disappearance of 24-year-old Roxan López Martínez, who was last seen in February 2026. Authorities are also searching for Dagoberto López Díaz, identified as the primary suspect and nephew of the former mayor.

Additionally, a man identified as J.L.P. has been formally charged with the 2025 homicide of a 14-year-old in San Andrés Huaxpaltepec.
