Oaxaca hosts regional meeting to align academic curricula with economic needs
Oaxaca hosted the South-Southeast Regional Meeting for Curricular Design and Academic Linkage to update higher education programs in alignment with regional needs. Led by Governor Salomón Jara Cruz, the meeting involved the Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) to design curricula that support economic growth across Oaxaca, Guerrero, Veracruz, Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán, and Quintana Roo.
The initiative utilizes the ‘Nectli’ curricular model, which focuses on real-world learning with social and professional relevance. The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia, government, and the private sector to foster local talent and improve conditions for regional businesses.
