Oaxaca launches Feria del Mezcal and 'El Otro Oaxaca' art exhibition

Governor Salomón Jara Cruz announced the Feria del Mezcal, scheduled for 17–28 July in Oaxaca, with more than 100 artistic and cultural activities, over 20 musical groups, and 400 participating stands. Tickets cost 80 pesos and proceeds will help fund the construction of “Hogares Primavera” homes.

At the Casa de Arte gallery, the collective exhibition “El Otro Oaxaca” opened, featuring works by 25 artists from Oaxaca and Mexico City. Curated by Vladimir Palomec and Gael Robles, the show seeks to present a contemporary perspective on the Guelaguetza and promote emerging talent.

Both events aim to showcase Oaxaca’s cultural richness and attract local, national and international visitors.
