Oaxaca towns host cultural fairs showcasing youth singing and ejido history

At the Expo Feria Huajuapan 2026 in Huajuapan de León, Oaxaca, children from local primary schools performed in the final of the "Huajuapan Canta con UNICAM" singing contest. The event highlighted young musical talent, encouraged confidence among the next generation, and was praised by municipal authorities for fostering community pride and cultural participation.

During the Feria de San Buenaventura 2026, an exhibition of historic photographs was opened at the town’s main plaza. The display featured images of the municipality’s ejidos, illustrating their evolution, architecture, and daily life. Mayor Javier Flores Rodríguez emphasized the exhibition’s role in preserving rural memory and strengthening a sense of belonging among residents.
