Oben Electric begins Rorr Evo deliveries in Bengaluru, 25k bookings
Oben Electric has started delivering its Rorr Evo electric motorcycle to customers in Bengaluru after the model attracted more than 25,000 bookings within the first 15 days of its launch in May 2026. The bike is priced at ₹1.25 lakh (ex‑showroom) and offers a 9 kW motor, a 3.4 kWh lithium‑iron‑phosphate battery with an claimed 180 km range, a top speed of 110 km/h and 0‑40 km/h acceleration in three seconds. Fast charging raises the battery to 80 % in about 90 minutes, and the vehicle includes a 5‑inch TFT display, OTA updates, navigation, geo‑fencing and an AI‑based SmartIQ system that the company says can improve range by up to 15 %.
The company says deliveries will soon expand from the Bengaluru launch to its network of more than 150 showrooms across over 90 Indian cities. Oben manufactures key components—including the battery pack, motor, control unit and charger—in‑house at a facility with an annual capacity of over 100,000 electric two‑wheelers, and it offers an eight‑year battery warranty. While electric motorcycles remain a small segment of India's two‑wheeler market, the strong booking response indicates growing interest in premium electric motorcycles beyond the dominant scooter segment.
