Oberkirch building fire destroys garage and home, 500,000‑euro damage

On Tuesday around 13:00, a fire broke out between a garage and a residential building on Zum Schwarzhof street in Stadelhofen, Oberkirch, Germany. Several people were inside but escaped unharmed.

A neighbor was taken to a nearby clinic as a precaution for possible smoke inhalation. The fire consumed the garage and the house, but did not spread to adjacent structures. Estimated property loss is about €500,000. Police are investigating the cause, which remains unclear.
