Oberpfalz traffic police issue 79 driving bans in single enforcement operation

The traffic police in Oberpfalz, specifically the Regensburg unit, conducted extensive speed enforcement operations resulting in significant penalties. During a single enforcement action on the A93 near Pentling, where the speed limit is 80 km/h, 79 drivers received driving bans in addition to fines and penalty points. The fastest vehicle recorded was traveling at 162 km/h, more than double the permitted limit.

Additional enforcement actions took place at the Nibelungenbrücke in Regensburg, where 15 drivers exceeded the 50 km/h limit, and in Roding on the B85, where the top speed recorded was 122 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. Police also monitored the St2145 near Barbing, where several drivers exceeded the 60 km/h limit.
