Oberstaufen farmhouse fire triggers extreme danger warning

A large fire broke out early Monday morning at an old farmhouse in Wiedemannsdorf, a district of Oberstaufen in the Oberallgäu region of Bavaria. Police reported that the blaze started around 05:10 and ignited the roof structure. The building was empty, and no people were inside at the time.

Approximately 150 firefighters were deployed to combat the blaze, which the fire service described as a "large fire" and issued an "extreme danger" warning. Residents were urged to keep doors and windows closed due to thick smoke spreading from the site. A dense plume of dark smoke was visible over the area, and officials warned of possible traffic delays. The damage is expected to be in the six‑figure range.

The incident is being investigated by local authorities, and further updates are pending.
