Octavian Popescu joins Levadiakos on loan from FCSB

Octavian Popescu, a 23-year-old midfielder, has departed Romania to join the Greek club Levadiakos on loan from FCSB. The move, which lasts until the end of the current season, aims to provide the player with more consistent playing time to help him regain his form and return to the Romanian national team.

At Levadiakos, Popescu will reunite with coaches Elias Charalambous and Mihai Pintilii. Regarding the decision, Popescu stated at the airport that he does not regret the move, noting, “It is important for a footballer to play and I believe that is how you gain confidence.” He dismissed the idea that this is a career restart, claiming he has already found momentum this season with several goal involvements.

The transfer follows a period of limited playing time at FCSB. Popescu also addressed recent rumors regarding his absence from training, clarifying that it was due to a period of illness rather than disciplinary issues.
