Odemira hosts Bienal de Arte e Ciência

The Bienal de Arte e Ciência de Odemira has commenced in the Alentejo Litoral region, operating under the theme ‘Tentemos’. Promoted by the Odemira Municipality and curated by Hugo Cruz, the event spans multiple locations including Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes, Sabóia, and São Luís.

The biennial aims to highlight the cultural and ecological diversity of the territory by intersecting art and science. Key highlights include the announcement of the new Madalena Victorino International Artistic Creation Grant and the inauguration of the ‘Selva Coragem’ installation by Teatro do Frio. The program also features the International Meeting of Programmers and Curators to foster local and international artistic networks.

The event concludes with the presentation of ‘Tentemos’, a project co-created with the Odemira community featuring fado singer Gisela João, followed by a community dinner.
