New Patriotic Party leadership focuses on Ashanti Region unity and infrastructure

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, also known as COKA, has been elected as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Following his victory, Appiah has called for party unity and strict adherence to the NPP constitution to prevent internal conflict and indiscipline. He emphasized that the Ashanti Region is the party’s electoral stronghold and urged members to set aside personal differences to prepare for the 2028 general elections.

To strengthen regional operations, the NPP has acquired land in Krofrom, Kumasi, for a new regional office. While construction is pending the hiring of an architect, a temporary office has been secured in Danyame.

Addressing internal dynamics, Acting National Chairman Danquah Smith Butey dismissed reports of a rift between Appiah and former MP Dr. Henry Kokofu, describing such claims as speculation. Meanwhile, in the Subin Constituency, executives have formally endorsed the re-election of the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, citing his leadership and reforms.
