Odisha CM reviews SCB Medical College infrastructure expansion

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has reviewed the ongoing infrastructure upgrades and development works at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The review focused on strengthening medical facilities, improving patient care services, and monitoring the progress of key infrastructure projects.

Odisha Works Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan stated that the new hospital building is expected to be inaugurated in December, with plans for it to become fully operational by January. Construction on two blocks of the new building is already complete, and the process of shifting patients to the new facilities is expected to begin shortly.

The modernized complex aims to transform the institution into a world-class facility by providing expanded bed capacity, high-capacity clinical blocks, dedicated patient-attendant facilities, and high-density residential housing for healthcare staff. A Detailed Project Report is currently being drafted to guide the next phase of construction.
