On 19 August 2026, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi reviewed infrastructure upgrades at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Works Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan reported that construction on two blocks of a new hospital building is complete, with an expected inauguration in December and full operations by January. The modernized complex is intended to provide expanded bed capacity, high-capacity clinical blocks, and residential housing for staff, with a Detailed Project Report being drafted to guide subsequent construction phases.
