Odivelas inaugurates renovated Ramada Secondary School
The Municipality of Odivelas has inaugurated the renovation of the Ramada Secondary School following a total investment of 7 million euros. A significant portion of the funding, 3.86 million euros, was provided by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) with support from the European Union’s NextGenerationEU initiative.
The renovation project included the upgrading of school buildings and outdoor spaces, focusing on improved accessibility and internal pathways. Structural improvements involved replacing flooring, window frames, glass, and blinds, as well as reinforcing thermal insulation, waterproofing roofs, and renovating sanitary facilities. Additionally, a new water reservoir with a fire protection system was installed.
To support pedagogical modernization and digital transition skills, the school was equipped with new digital and IT resources. Odivelas Mayor Hugo Martins stated that the project creates a more modern and cohesive public school environment, promoting greater equality of opportunity through investment in public education.
