Oficina das Artes in Oliveira de Azeméis set to open in 2027

The Oficina das Artes in Oliveira de Azeméis is now expected to open in 2027, according to Mayor Joaquim Jorge Ferreira. The project involves the reconversion of the former Garagem Justino into a dedicated space for artistic creation, exhibition, and training.

While construction began in March 2025 with an initial estimated 12-month timeline, the official opening has been pushed to 2027. The municipality has not specified whether this delay is due to the construction progress, subsequent installation work, or equipment preparation. The facility is intended to serve as a central cultural hub alongside the TeMA Municipal Theater, the Regional Museum, and the Academy of Music.
