Otsukimi Yukimi Daifuku Lotte Moon viewing event Shinjuku

Various cultural and seasonal events are scheduled across Japan for late 2026. In Tokyo, Lotte will host the first “Yukimi Daifuku Minna de Otsukimi-kai” at the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building from September 25 to 27. The event features a giant moon object, mochi-pounding experiences, and collaborations with Imuraya.

Other regional activities include a photography exhibition regarding the Edo Fire Brigade and Fukuro Festival at Echika Ikebukuro Gallery, and an ikebana exhibition at Tamagawa Takashimaya celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Sogetsu school. In Hyogo, Akashi Park will host a moon-viewing gathering with celestial observations and traditional music on September 25, while the Kinmata ryokan in Tanba Sasayama will offer limited-time kaiseki courses featuring natural matsutake mushrooms starting October 15.

In Kanagawa, the Ofuna Flower Center showcases seasonal flora, and Okada Kinsei An-Bata-ya will hold a limited-time pop-up at Ofuna Lumine Wing. Additionally, the Beet Museum Festa in Obihiro, Hokkaido, will celebrate the history of beet sugar on September 12.
