Ogun pastor and wife die following alleged domestic dispute
A domestic dispute in the Ogooluwa community of Ogun State, Nigeria, resulted in the deaths of a Celestial Church of Christ pastor and his wife on August 31.
Bidemi Odukoya, the Shepherd of the Iri Orun Parish, allegedly attacked his wife, Adenike, with a machete and a wooden stool during an argument around 2:00 am. Following the attack, Odukoya reportedly fled the residence and traveled toward the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. He died instantly after allegedly throwing himself in front of a moving truck at Coker Junction in the Ifo area.
Community leaders and residents expressed shock at the incident, noting that the couple had lived in the area for nearly a decade and were known for being friendly and respectful. The couple was buried beside their three-bedroom home on the same day the incident occurred.
