Ogun State residents demand urgent repairs to dilapidated roads

Residents across various local government areas in Ogun State are calling on Governor Dapo Abiodun to address the deteriorating condition of community roads. In the Ado-Odo/Ota and Ifo Local Government areas, citizens have expressed growing impatience regarding the poor state of roads in locations such as Akute, Alagbole, Agbado, Denro, Isashi, and Ojodu.

In the Karanla community near Mowe, residents report that major routes linking the village to Mowe and Lotto have been neglected for over 20 years. Local commuters and motorcycle operators noted that the situation worsens significantly during rainfall, hindering movement and affecting livelihoods. Community leaders expressed frustration, stating that despite participating in elections, the infrastructure remains in a state of decay.

Governor Abiodun has previously highlighted ongoing road projects, including work on the Owode-Ilaro Road, Panseke-Adigbe Road, and the Elite-Oke Lantoro expansion. However, residents in industrial corridors like Atan-Lusada-Agbara and rural settlements continue to demand more visible and timely interventions to alleviate travel difficulties.
