North Macedonia is observing the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, a landmark document that ended the 2001 armed conflict. Government officials, including First Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali and Speaker of the Assembly Afrim Gashi, held solemn sessions to reflect on the agreement's role in establishing a multi-ethnic state based on partnership, equality, and dialogue.

The agreement introduced significant constitutional and legal changes, including decentralization, the use of the Albanian language, and equitable representation. To date, over 130 laws and amendments have been implemented, with 59 focusing on equitable representation and 40 covering identity, culture, education, and decentralization.
