Okinawa craft and food fairs scheduled in Tokyo for 2026

The 33rd Okinawa Craft Interaction Plaza will be held from September 11 to 13, 2026 at Tokigyo Hall in East Ginza, Tokyo. The event will feature live demonstrations by sanshin makers, showcasing up to 40 new sanshin instruments, workshops, performances and the opportunity for visitors to try playing the traditional Okinawan three‑string lute.

Separately, Nandai Fuji Soba will run an Okinawa‑themed summer food fair from August 1 to 31, 2026 at its 103 outlets across Japan (excluding the Akihabara store). The fair will offer a chilled mozuku noodle dish and a mini tuna rice set, both prepared with ingredients sourced directly from Okinawa, highlighting the region’s sea‑food bounty.
