OKTAGON MMA considers UK return after difficult expansion

OKTAGON MMA co-founder Pavol Neruda has indicated that the organization is not ruling out a future return to the United Kingdom, despite a difficult and costly initial expansion. Between 2023 and 2024, the European mixed martial arts organization held three events in the UK that failed to achieve the expected impact or market establishment.

While the expansion into the British market proved to be a ‘expensive lesson,’ the organization continues to see significant success in other European regions. OKTAGON is scheduled to hold an event at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany, on September 26, with a capacity for up to 60,000 spectators. The organization remains on a successful trajectory in Europe despite the departure of top talents like Lucia Szabova to the UFC.
