Oktoberfest celebrations prepare for upcoming editions across Brazil
Various Oktoberfest celebrations are being organized across Brazil, highlighting German heritage through music, gastronomy, and tradition.
In Blumenau, the 2026 edition features international musical acts such as Dorfrocker and Die Kirchdorfer. Meanwhile, the opening of the traditional Hofbräuhaus brewery in the city has been postponed due to heavy rainfall.
In Porto Alegre, the second official Oktoberfest is scheduled for October 10, 2026. The free event will occupy the Historic Center with 12 hours of programming, including a thematic parade with over 200 participants and the rock band Cachorro Grande.
Other regional festivities include the Oktoberfest in Petrópolis, which offers free entry and a diverse musical lineup, and the Oktoberfest in Igrejinha, which is utilizing recycled materials for its sustainable decorations. The Quarteto Schmitt has also announced new musical releases intended for the Blumenau festivities to refresh the traditional repertoire.
