Olanchito launches pre-enrollment for Spanish agricultural work visas

Approximately 400 young people gathered at the Casa de la Cultura in Olanchito, Honduras, to participate in a pre-enrollment process for temporary agricultural work visas in Spain. The initiative aims to eventually send between 2,000 and 3,000 Hondurans to Spain for six-month work contracts in the agricultural sector.

The program is a collaborative effort between the Honduran Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Association of Municipalities of Honduras (AMHON), and the Municipality of Olanchito. According to Mayor and AMHON President Juan Carlos Molina, selected workers could earn a monthly salary of approximately 1,500 euros and receive free accommodation during their stay.

To qualify, applicants must be Honduran citizens between the ages of 21 and 45, with no criminal or migratory records. Authorities emphasized that this pre-enrollment stage does not guarantee a visa or employment, as candidates must still undergo further evaluation and selection processes.
