Oldambt hosts Groenmarkt and Kom Over de Brug festival on June 28

On Sunday 28 June, the municipality of Oldambt will hold two public events. The Groenmarkt will take place in the Rosarium park in Winschoten, featuring a wide range of flowers, plants, garden accessories and sustainable items. The market highlights biodiversity with many organic products and showcases a collection of 320 rose varieties on 20,000 bushes. It is organized by the Oldambt municipality together with Groei & Bloei Winschoten, and the Rozenkoningin (Rose Queen) will distribute roses and pose for photos, while illustrator Reinoud Bekkema creates on‑site portraits.

At the same time, the Kom over de Brug festival will be held at the Wilgenborg venue in Blauwestad. The event combines visual art, music, entertainment and crafts. Visitors who attend both the Groenmarkt and the Kom over de Brug festival can collect stamps on a card; submitting a completed card enters them in a draw for prizes such as tickets for the Tocht om de Noord tour or a restaurant menu.
