Ole Miss defeats LSU 32-24 in high-stakes SEC matchup

Ole Miss secured a 32-24 victory over LSU in a highly anticipated matchup in Oxford. The game featured a significant return for LSU head coach Lane Kiffin, who previously coached at Ole Miss. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss led the Rebels with 363 passing yards and two touchdowns, including a decisive run late in the fourth quarter. Despite a second-half comeback attempt by LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt, a final-minute interception sealed the win for the Rebels.

Following the victory, Ole Miss prepares to face No. 21 Florida in Gainesville. Analysts highlight the matchup as a potential trap game for the No. 4 ranked Rebels, noting that Florida’s running back Jadan Baugh and quarterback Aaron Philo could pose significant challenges. Meanwhile, LSU looks to recover from the loss as they prepare for a critical Week 4 clash against Texas A&M in Baton Rouge, a game with major implications for the College Football Playoff standings.
