Oleggio police arrest suspect wanted for attempted murder

Authorities in Oleggio have arrested a 21-year-old man following a raid on an illegal drug distribution hub located in a wooded area known as ‘la discarica’. The site featured makeshift wooden structures used for both living and criminal activities.

During the operation, Carabinieri and local police units seized approximately 200 grams of hashish, precision scales, and packaging materials. Investigators also discovered an arsenal of weapons, including machetes, a dagger, and a blank-firing pistol.

Upon identification, it was revealed that the suspect was not merely a local drug dealer but was also wanted for an attempted murder committed in the Bergamo area in May 2025. He is accused of shooting a compatriot, causing serious injuries.
