Drug trafficking enforcement in Northern Italy

In late September, Bergamo police arrested a 26-year-old man near the city's railway station. Following a pursuit on a scooter, officers and a canine unit recovered over 144 grams of packaged cannabinoids and 1,150 euros in cash.

By early October, authorities in Oleggio conducted a raid on an illegal drug distribution hub located in a wooded area known as ‘la discarica’. During the operation, police seized approximately 200 grams of hashish, scales, and various weapons, including machetes and a blank-firing pistol. The 21-year-old suspect arrested during this raid was identified as being wanted for an attempted murder committed in the Bergamo area in May 2025.
