Olgiate Comasco celebrates two centenarians at local nursing home

A nursing home in Olgiate Comasco celebrated a combined 203 years of life as two residents marked significant milestones. Ofelia Giacometti celebrated her 103rd birthday, while Teresa Angela Guffanti reached the age of 100.

Mayor Simone Moretti visited the facility to present each woman with an orchid. Teresa Angela Guffanti, a former local shopkeeper, was noted for her independent spirit and devotion to her family. Ofelia Giacometti, originally from the province of Venice, shared her history of working in silk factories after spending her early years working in the fields.
