Olguța Vasilescu Says PSD Could Form Minority Government in Romania

Olguța Vasilescu told the programme Gândul that she believes the Social Democratic Party (PSD) can secure a governing majority by forming a minority government, which she described as "the best option." She said any such arrangement would involve "parliamentarians from the Romanian Parliament," but did not name specific members.

Vasilescu also criticised PSD’s strategy last year, saying the party’s biggest mistake was failing to claim the premiership and allowing Ilie Bolojan to become prime minister. She accused Bolojan of overstepping his role and stressed that PSD must assert its right to the premier’s post to avoid repeating past errors.
