Oliver Rowland clinches second Monaco Formula E win, moves to championship runner‑up

Oliver Rowland won the second race of the Monaco E‑Prix double‑header, taking his first victory of the 2025/26 season and his second consecutive win at the principality. Starting eighth on the grid, he conserved energy, activated Attack Mode at the optimal moment and surged to the lead on lap 23, holding off challenges through several Full Course Yellow periods. The win earned him 26 points and the fastest‑lap bonus, lifting him to 109 points – 19 behind championship leader Mitch Evans and ahead of Edoardo Mortara and Pascal Wehrlein.

Rowland’s teammate Norman Nato retired after being forced into the barriers early in the race. Brazilian rookie Felipe Drugovich secured his first Formula E podium, inheriting second place after Edoardo Mortara’s ten‑second penalty, while António Félix da Costa completed the podium in third. The result reshuffled the drivers’ standings and bolstered Nissan’s confidence heading into the next round in Sanya, China.

The event also highlighted the use of the CCS charging standard, allowing the Gen4 Formula E cars to share charging infrastructure with road‑going vehicles such as the Opel Mokka during the weekend.
