Olomouc police seize kratom following street altercation

Police in Olomouc investigated a dispute between two men that led to the discovery of illegal substances. Following a report of a woman being attacked on Dolní Novosadská street, officers located two men involved in a confrontation over personal belongings.

During the investigation, police inspected a Škoda Citigo belonging to the woman. Due to her nervous behavior, officers and the Customs Administration for the Olomouc Region searched the vehicle's trunk. They discovered a black plastic bag containing fifteen 1-kilogram packages of kratom, along with ten smaller 75-gram packages.

Criminal investigators have launched proceedings for the suspected offense of unauthorized handling of psychomodulatory substances in the attempt stage. Authorities are continuing to investigate the initial report of physical assault.
