Olsztyn hosts meeting for Warmian Walking Pilgrimage participants

Pilgrims who participated in the Warmian Walking Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra gathered for a meeting at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Olsztyn. The event included a Holy Mass led by Father Paweł Szumowski, the director of the Warmian Walking Pilgrimages.

During his homily, Father Szumowski encouraged participants to reflect on the spiritual impact of their journey, asking, “What has remained from that road?” He emphasized that the value of a pilgrimage lies in whether it produces fruits in daily life, such as increased forgiveness, hope, faith, and love, rather than just the physical act of walking hundreds of kilometers.

Participants expressed the importance of these gatherings for renewing relationships and assessing whether they are fulfilling the resolutions made during their journey. The meeting also served as an opportunity to reconnect with fellow pilgrims. An upcoming pilgrimage from Olsztyn to Gietrzwałd for indulgence celebrations is scheduled for September 13.
