Oluremi Tinubu to visit Anambra for empowerment and food bank launch

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Anambra State on September 10, 2026. This marks her first visit to the state since assuming her current role.

A central component of the visit is the empowerment of 5,000 individuals through the Progressives United Against Poverty Initiative. This program is a partnership between the Anambra State Government and the President’s wife’s Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Economic Support Scheme, aimed at providing practical economic support to vulnerable households.

Additionally, Senator Tinubu will launch the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South-East Geopolitical Zone. The initiative seeks to bolster food security and address nutrition concerns within the region. The itinerary also includes a visit to the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, to commission key projects at the institution.
