Olympiacos celebrates title haul as Kostinia transfer boosts finances

Greek club Olympiacos capped a successful season with domestic and EuroLeague championships, according to president Giannis Kalambokis, who praised the team's stability and "the incredible spirit and quality" displayed after December. Kalambokis highlighted the club’s ability to cope with injuries, including point‑guard Evan’s setback, and expressed optimism for future signings.

In parallel, Olympiacos completed the sale of Portuguese right‑back Konstantinos Kostinia to English side Brentford for a reported €12.7 million, a significant profit on the €2.5 million purchase price. The transfer, announced on 15 June when the English market opened, is expected to contribute to the club’s financial health while the team assesses the impact of his departure on the squad.

Both developments underscore Olympiacos’s on‑court success and off‑court financial strategy during the 2023‑24 season.
