Olympiacos completes €5‑6 million signing of Spanish winger Joel Roca

Greek champions Olympiacos have officially announced the acquisition of 21‑year‑old Spanish left‑winger Joel Roca from Girona. The deal is reported to be worth around €5‑6 million, includes a €1.5 million bonus and a sell‑on clause of roughly 15‑20 % for the Catalan club. Roca signed a five‑year contract (4 + 1 option) that runs until 2030 and has already passed all medical and fitness examinations.

Roca, a product of Barcelona’s youth system who most recently played on loan at Mirandés, said he chose Olympiacos after speaking with coach José Luis Mendilibar. He expressed enthusiasm about the club’s facilities, the chance to compete in the Champions League and his ambition to develop further. The transfer strengthens Olympiacos’ attacking options as the team prepares for the new season.
