Olympiacos eyes Andre Luis sale while captain Kostas Papadnikolaou signs new contract

Greek club Olympiacos is actively reshaping its squad. The 24‑year‑old Brazilian forward Andre Luis is likely to be transferred, with MLS side Kansas City, Germany's Wolfsburg and Portuguese clubs reportedly interested. Kansas City has reportedly offered around €18 million, while Wolfsburg values him at roughly €20 million. A sale would fund further signings, as Olympiacos has already added Zota Silva and is pursuing players such as Zoriko Davitashvili, Petr Stanic and additional forwards and midfielders.

In parallel, club captain Kostas Papadnikolaou has renewed his contract for two years, a deal worth about €2 million. He will continue as a key forward alongside Taisson Ward, with Evan Fournier available as an option. The squad’s depth chart now lists Papadnikolaou and Ward in the #3 position, while the #4 spot remains open following Alek Peters' move to Milan, prompting the club to seek another striker.

These moves illustrate Olympiacos’ dual focus on strengthening the roster and retaining leadership ahead of the upcoming season.
