Joël Roca signs five‑year deal with Olympiacos

Spanish winger Joël Roca, 21, will move from Girona to Greek club Olympiacos on a five‑year contract. The player chose Olympiacos after being attracted by the club’s plan and the prospect of working with coach Menti‑Limbár, rejecting other offers presented by Girona.

Born in 2005 in Cambron, Girona province, Roca progressed through Barcelona’s youth system before joining Girona in 2019. He debuted with the reserve side in 2021 and made his La Liga debut in August 2022, later sidelined by injury. In the summer of 2024 he was loaned to Mirandés in Spain’s Segunda División, scoring six goals in 38 matches. After returning to Girona he extended his contract to 2029 and has represented Spain at youth levels up to the U21 side. In the most recent La Liga season he made 32 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
