Olympiacos secures €8 million deal for Serbian midfielder Petar Stanić

Greek club Olympiacos has reached an agreement with Bulgarian champions Ludogorets to sign Serbian international midfielder Petar Stanić. After Ludogorets rejected an initial €6 million offer, Olympiacos raised the bid to €8 million plus up to €2 million in performance bonuses, which the Bulgarian side accepted.

Stanić, who scored seven goals in the Europa League and earned two caps for Serbia, is leaving Ludogorets where he helped the team win the league and was a key creative player. The transfer fee approaches €10 million, a rare high‑value outbound deal for a Bulgarian club, and will provide Ludogorets with a sizable windfall. The move raises questions for Ludogorets’s title challenge this season, while Olympiacos adds a proven playmaker to its midfield roster ahead of the new campaign.
