This decline is notably driven by a reduction in Republican support, which fell to 69% from 77% in March. Furthermore, 83% of Americans anticipate that the conflict with Iran will be a prolonged engagement.

Economic factors are also impacting public sentiment. The ongoing conflict and a de facto blockade on regional oil exports have contributed to U.S. gasoline prices reaching near-record highs.
