OMODA & JAECOO hybrid SUVs exceed 1,000 km range in China tests
During the Super Hybrid Marathon held in Wuhu, China, on October 21-22, 2026, OMODA & JAECOO demonstrated the efficiency of its Super Hybrid System (SHS-H) technology. The event was part of the ‘Drive to the next vibe’ International User Summit.
The OMODA 5 NEXT SHS-H achieved a range of 1,015 kilometers with an average fuel consumption of 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers (approximately 22.2 km/l). The OMODA 4 SHS-H recorded a range of 911.3 kilometers with a consumption rate of 4.9 liters per 100 kilometers (approximately 20.4 km/l).
The testing involved urban streets, highways, and winding mountain roads to evaluate power delivery, acoustic comfort, and digital functionality while keeping air conditioning and multimedia systems active. The vehicles tested are conventional hybrids (HEV), meaning they do not require external charging. Other models involved in the summit included the OMODA 7 SHS-H, which features a 5 kWh battery technology.
