Omoda & Jaecoo to unveil new Omoda X crossover in China

Omoda & Jaecoo has announced the world premiere of the Omoda X, a new crossover scheduled for October 20, 2026. The vehicle will be unveiled during the ‘Omoda X NIGHT’ event at the International User Summit in Wuhu, China, which runs from October 18 to 24.

The Omoda X is designed to blend the dynamic proportions of a sports car with the elevated stance and robustness of an off-road vehicle. Its aesthetic follows a ‘Mecha’ inspired futuristic design language, characterized by sharp, geometric lines. The launch is part of the ‘CROSSVOLUTION’ campaign, which aims to bridge different automotive categories.

The new model supports the brand's expansion in the Italian market, where it has been active since July 2024 through its subsidiary Chery Italy S. r. l. The current Italian lineup includes the Omoda 5 (available in petrol, full hybrid, and electric versions), the Omoda 7 and Omoda 9 Super Hybrid SUVs, and the Omoda 4 compact crossover.
