Various transportation modernization initiatives are underway across the Dominican Republic and Honduras. In the Dominican Republic, the Metropolitan Bus Service Operator (OMSA) has relaunched the Ciudad Juan Bosch corridor. This update includes 25 refurbished buses equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. To mark the relaunch, the service will be free for 15 days, with a standard fare of RD$35 thereafter. Additionally, the G12 Group has submitted proposals to the Intrant to modernize the national system, including staggered work schedules and the promotion of electric vehicles.

In San Francisco de Macorís, the ride-hailing service Maxim is offering discounted rates for university students to reduce commuting costs. Meanwhile, in Honduras, President Nasry Asfura met with MetroSula officials to discuss a new public transport model for San Pedro Sula. The project aims to replace 1,500 old units with 560 new buses featuring digital payment systems, Wi-Fi, and real-time surveillance to improve safety and efficiency.
