OMSA suspends special bus lending services

The Operadora Metropolitana de Servicios de Autobuses (OMSA) has suspended its special transport services, which include the lending of buses for urban and interurban use to private individuals and institutions.

The decision aims to preserve the entity's operational capacity and ensure the continuity and quality of daily public urban transport. According to the company, the current fleet is experiencing a high level of deterioration. To address this, OMSA is implementing a rigorous preventive and corrective maintenance program to progressively restore its operational capabilities.

Executive Vice President Onéximo González stated that the measure is part of an institutional strengthening process to manage resources and assets more responsibly. He advised public institutions, private companies, educational centers, and social organizations to hire specialized and authorized transport companies for their special or interurban needs.
