On reveals LightSpray football boot prototypes via Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry, the Director of Football for the Swiss brand On, has provided a first look at the company’s upcoming football boots. Using LightSpray technology, the prototype boots feature a robotic filament-sprayed upper that is exceptionally thin and translucent. This manufacturing process eliminates traditional seams, structural overlays, and conventional heel padding by creating the upper in a single continuous process.

On officially announced its entry into the football sector in September 2026. The development process involves high-profile figures including Kylian Mbappé and Swiss player Sydney Schertenleib. Following rigorous testing in training and competitive fixtures, the brand’s debut football boots are scheduled for public release in 2027.
