ONAPI and IATECI sign agreement to promote innovation in Dominican Republic

The National Office of Industrial Property (ONAPI) and the Advanced Institute of Technologies in Science and Innovation (IATECI) have signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement in the Dominican Republic. The partnership is designed to protect industrial property rights and foster innovation through mutual cooperation.

Signed by ONAPI Director General Salvador Ramos and IATECI Executive Director Raúl Toribio, the agreement aims to promote joint work and training. The alliance seeks to generate new technologies, create jobs, and provide added value to the socio-economic development of industries, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and Dominican society.

Through its National Academy of Intellectual Property (ANPI) and its Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI), ONAPI will provide training, advisory services, and support to inventors, researchers, students, and entrepreneurs. Additionally, both institutions will jointly develop educational programs to raise awareness of industrial property rights among businesses and individuals.
