Dominican Republic industrial property and innovation pact

Overview

The National Office of Industrial Property (ONAPI) and the Advanced Institute of Technologies in Science and Innovation (IATECI) in the Dominican Republic have entered into an inter-institutional collaboration agreement. The partnership aims to protect industrial property rights and foster innovation through mutual cooperation, joint training, and the development of new technologies.

Through ONAPI’s National Academy of Intellectual Property and its Technology and Innovation Support Center, the agreement will provide advisory services and support to researchers, students, and entrepreneurs. The institutions also intend to develop educational programs to increase awareness of industrial property rights among businesses and the general public to support socio-economic development.
