Oncology support initiatives focus on funding and patient care in Argentina and Spain

In Río Grande, Argentina, the Centro de Autoayuda de Pacientes Oncológicos (CAPO) is organizing clothing and food fairs to combat rising operational costs. The institution reports that increasing utility rates, such as gas bills, are consuming funds previously used to assist patients with food, medication, and housing. Economic instability has also led to increased demand for assistance as patients and their families face job losses and difficulty maintaining necessary nutritional diets during treatment.

In Tenerife, Spain, the Renacer Tenerife Integrative Oncology Fair is scheduled for September 25–27. The event features over 100 professionals and 50 stands, focusing on medicine, nutrition, exercise, and patient accompaniment. To ensure accessibility, the organizers have partnered with Fecam to launch the 'Guagua del Bienestar,' a free collective transport initiative to help patients and caregivers travel from various municipalities to the fairground.
