Australia's One Nation party slips to 26% in latest poll

The Resolve Political Monitor poll released in July shows Australia’s right‑wing One Nation party fell three points to 26% of the primary vote, ending four months of growth. The Liberal‑National Coalition rose to 23%, while Labor held steady at 28% and the Greens at 12%.

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson’s preferred‑prime‑minister rating dropped eight points to 25%, as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese recovered to 33%. Poll analysts linked One Nation’s losses to reduced support among immigrants and women, and to controversy over Hanson’s remarks on multiculturalism and paid parental leave. One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce dismissed the poll as “an indicator, not a vote,” insisting Australians want “guardrails” on cultural policy.

Other recent surveys echo the trend, with One Nation’s support hovering around the mid‑20s and the party struggling to break the 30% threshold despite remaining in second place behind Labor.
