One Piece announces two new films for 2027 and 2029

Toei Animation has announced two new theatrical films for the One Piece franchise, revealed during the One Piece Day 2026 event in Chiba, Japan. The upcoming films are titled ‘One Piece Film: God Valley’ and ‘One Piece Film: Baad’.

‘One Piece Film: God Valley’ is scheduled for release in the summer of 2027. This film is expected to adapt the God Valley Incident arc from the original manga, a pivotal historical event involving characters such as Gol D. Roger, Monkey D. Garp, and Rocks D. Xebec. The release coincides with the 30th anniversary of the One Piece manga.

‘One Piece Film: Baad’ is slated for release in 2029, marking the 30th anniversary of the anime television series. While the title logo was hand-drawn by creator Eiichiro Oda, specific plot details and production staff for the film remain undisclosed. These projects follow the commercial success of the 2022 film ‘One Piece Film: Red’.
